Four of the 21 candidates for city council in Lawrence are in violation of State Campaign
Finance Laws for not turning in their campaign finance reports before September 17, 2007.

Of the four candidates who did not file as required by law, one is an incumbent city
councilor who certainly knows better; District "B" city councilor Grisel Silva.
Of the three challengers who are in violation, (Matos, Polanco, and Michael Fielding)
two are former city councilors (Matos and Fielding) who also know the campaign finance
laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

At- Large City Council Candidates Three will be elected in November - Two will be eliminated in the Sept 25th Primary
